# Basin

> Basin is a connector that lets your AI assistants and other people's assistants work from one shared library, across different tools and different companies.

Basin is a remote MCP server. Any AI client that supports remote MCP over
Streamable HTTP and OAuth 2.0 can connect to it. Basin does not serve the older
SSE transport, and there is no API key to paste.

Connecting takes one endpoint, one standing instruction, and one new
conversation. On connection a client receives 69 tools. Sign-in codes expire
after 10 minutes.
